Information about the project: The Lang Hoa Lc Highway will connect My Dinh (Hanoi's future downtown) with the Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Zone (Vietnam's future Sillicon Valley) and Hoa Binh Province. Major urban areas such as Bac An Khanh will be built close to the highway

Rail: Visit Hanoi Station & Gia Lam Train Company

Hanoi Station:
History:
This railway was constructed by the French colonists as part of a railway network in French Indochina. On 2 October 1936, the Hanoi-Saigon Railway with a length of 1,726 km, metre gauge (1 m), was officially inaugurated by the French colonists. This railway is currently under the management and owed by Vietnam Railways Corporation.

Improvement Plan:
On 1 January 2002, Vietnamese Prime Minister Phan Van Khai approved a "Master Plan for Vietnam's railway towards 2020" to improve this railway with key capital on loan from the Japanese ODA. The total estimated investment capital for this mega project is expected to be US$ 32,000 million.

Gia Lam Train Company:
Gia Lam Train Company is one of the industrial units of Vietnam Railways Corporation. Its main activities are:

  1. Overhauling and manufacturing rolling stock of different types
  2. Producing spare parts of cars, verifying pressure clocks and metal samples
  3. Manufacturing other industrial products such as different types of steam-boilers, steel girder structures, etc.

Gia Lam Train Company also has a number of skillful cadres and workers with large coach & wagon manufacturing shops and modern equipment.
